When you add Checkbox element to the search block initially you will see that there is no attributes found message. To configure your checkbox click on the pencil icon on the right corner.

You will find the checkbox panel will appear from the lower section.

First you have to chose between either meta or taxonomy from the Data Tab in the CheckBox Panel.

The Appearance Tab can be used to set title, subtitle or adding a custom CSS class name. You can also set column number for the data options in the CheckBox Panel. You can also control the toggle options or show or hide the number of items from the panel.
